Journey to Create the Enchanted Forest Dragon of Brookline
On this quest to create the mural this spring there are several aspects to figure out before I start painting the wall.
One important choice to be decided upon is what kind of support structure will make the most sense?
Using a ladder would be the cheapest, but on its own it would require a lot of climbing up and down, and also doesn’t provide a lot of reach.
Scaffolding is another option. This can provide plenty of reach, but would block the wall when I want to step back and look at it. Also, rental can be costly.
A small platform with wheels is called a Bakers Scaffolding. This provides pretty good coverage and can be less costly to rent.
Lifts provide excellent coverage, but they tend to be expensive, which entails working quickly. They also require a large footprint at the location.
My goal is to be able to spend as much time as needed to make the artwork as beautiful as it can be!
