For me to claim that the current exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum is remarkable would be nothing new. Seeing in person Mueck’s larger and smaller than life sculptures of people {though more like replicas} and Ford’s enormous tounge-in-cheek animal watercolors is the only way to enjoy their grandeur. What struck me in addiontion to the work is the droves and droves of people who turned out for the show. It’s a great thing when so many folks, everyday folks with kids, are compelled to experience an artist’s work.
