Wonderful show opening this week at Drift Gallery in Kittery, Maine. Drop by if you’re not too far away and could use a nice escape from the city.
In reaction to the BP Oil Spill disaster I’ve been painting animals affected. My goal is to take the horror head on. It is so upsetting that most of us would rather just not see or think about it. By painting beautifully I am making the animals accessible and ideally keep our minds present to the event. If we are, then we are more likely to do something- send money, help clean up, or at the very least, be more mindful of the potential for this to happen again. We have to be more careful with our planet.
Talenthouse has me as a Featured Artist this month.

Just had to share a wonderful piece sent to me by my mentor and friend Guy Billout on the eve of his departure back to France for the summer.
