New shirts now available at brookline booksmith

I had a lot of fun with this, given free reign by the owners to come up with an image. I sketched out a lot of ideas, ultimately landing on a subject that would be relatable, visually elegant, and provoke the joyful experience of reading. As screen printing has requirements that don’t jive with my painting, I adapted lines and shape for strokes of paint. Drop by Coolidge Corner if you’re in the Boston area.

New painting🌟Longaevitas
Oil, 16×12”

This fella is going to New Zealand on behalf of my friends Grace and William to their nephew Oscar 🧒

First time painting an otter, was reminiscent of the ferret I had when I was younger 💕

The fluidity of swimming underwater and including little bubbles were fun aspects to explore 🌊

Hopefully he’ll be good company to Oscar as he grows up 🦦
