Took a terrific workshop with Hanoch Piven at The Society of Illustrators last week. He is an artist (and former student of Guy Billout as well) who uses found objects to craft images. Going into his world is a real challenge, as much as it looks like child’s play. Being able to craft an image where the parts not only create the whole but add to the narrative is an eloquence I admire greatly. Visit Hanoch’s site and blog to see his work and photos from the class.
